Diametros Petals
Museum of Art and History (MOAH)
Lancaster, CA
Specifically designed for MOAH Lancaster’s rooftop, Shana Mabari’s Diametros Petals is a constellation of twelve disks of differing sizes juxtaposed at various angles to one another. The placement of the disks—which range from 3 to 4 feet in diameter—creates a shifting pattern of shapes, curves, lines, and colors as the continually changing natural light affects the interplay of two or more mirrored surfaces, casting highlights and shadows across the surfaces of the building.
