“ILLUMETRIC,” a short film by Los Angeles-based artist Shana Mabari, premiered at the WeHo@30 Film Festival: A Digital Time Capsule, on October 24, 2015. Mabari received a 2015 WeHo@30 Film & Digital Media grant to make her film about Illumetric, a triptych of massive, internally illuminated diamond-, cube-, and rectangle-shaped acrylic sculptures. The 12-minute film/video documents her Art on the Outside public art project Illumetric, covering conception, fabrication, installation and presence in the urban streetscape, including footage of West Hollywood celebrations and events from throughout its 2 year tenure on the median of Santa Monica Boulevard. The film includes interviews with Mabari, legendary fabricator Jack Brogan, City of West Hollywood Arts Administrator Andrew Campbell, and Los Angeles Art Association Executive Director Peter Mays.
